Wayne Hanson

A veteran of the United States Army, Wayne has amassed a distinguished record of public service over the course of his lifetime with careers in the military, federal government and through various civic service organizations. Currently, Wayne is Chairman of the Board for Wreaths Across America and has been volunteering with the organization since 1993.

After 7 years of ROTC during high school and college, Wayne received a commission as a Second Lieutenant in the US Army, Military Police Corps. He served our country with assignments in Alaska, Vietnam and Alabama and retired as a Captain in 1971. During his time in the army, he was awarded the Bronze Star twice for service and achievement in Vietnam.
